Story
50-year-old scriptwriter Yahagi Keisuke used to be called the “big hit drama maker”. His specialty is the romance genre and he has created many dramas with average viewership ratings exceeding 25%. The world of romance which he portrayed in his 30s, captivated women in Japan. However, Keisuke has not been able to write for almost five years. Even when he does write, it is not a hit. His wife has also deserted and divorced him. One night, Keisuke encounters a 30-something drunken female who complains and swears at friends and juniors at his regular bar. They part in the worst possible way. Some days later, Keisuke participates in a project meeting for a drama. It is the first time in a long while that he has received an offer to write. He is surprised to see that the director he has been introduced to is none other than the woman he had a horrible encounter with … … She is Sakai Hitomi. He begins to pull himself together little by little through his acquaintance with her, the chief producer Kasahara Kazuko and others. Will Keisuke be able to write a gem of a romance drama again?

Takahashi Katsunori as Yahagi Keisuke
An unmanly scriptwriter. He used to be called the “god of romance dramas” but as he enters his 50s, his popularity is on the wane.
Ito Ayumi as Sakai Hitomi
A director who has no self-confidence. She is self-assured with Yahagi Keisuke but not with her work. She has a drinking problem. She gradually becomes attracted to Keisuke. She respects Kasahara Kazuko.
Satsukawa Aimi as Sudo Misaki
A rookie assistant producer who is actually a sadist. She behaves like a proper young lady even as she speaks harshly to Yahagi Keisuke and motivates him.
Yo Kimiko as Kasahara Kazuko
The chief producer who has given Sakai Hitomi a chance. She and Yahagi Keisuke are old friends.
