Story
Unlike an ambulance, a doctor car is an emergency vehicle that doctors ride to scenes where patients are in critical condition in order to diagnose and administer emergency medical treatment quickly. This actually raises the survival rate significantly. Tendo Ichika started to pursue medicine after her father died in a traffic accident when she was in elementary school. Then she became pregnant during university and the father of her child disappeared mysteriously. But she decided to live with the life that she had been blessed with. She graduated from university with excellent results while raising her child and was hired by Asagi General Hospital. Diving right in with high aspirations, she finds herself assigned to be a staff of the doctor car medical team. Ichika is elated to be able to work at the frontline. A request immediately comes in for the hospital to send in the doctor car to an accident scene. But the terrible sight is beyond Ichika’s imagination, making her feel weak at the knees and unable to move. Asagi Yusuke, who is the only son of the hospital’s chairwoman and the person responsible for doctor car, instructs the team to give up medical treatment at the scene and transport the patients to the hospital. In fact, Asagi thinks the doctor car is expensive junk and plots to get it scrapped. He is also unusually hostile to Ichika and the other members of the hospital follow him in picking on her endlessly.

Characters
Goriki Ayame as Tendo Ichika
A new doctor at Asagi General Hospital, she joins the doctor car team which the hospital has just introduced. She experiences all sorts of difficulties in tense situations at the scenes, but finds a way out of the extreme circumstances with her remarkable diagnostic ability that comes from a vivid imagination. An unmarried mother who had a child with her university boyfriend, she vows that she will become a top doctor for the sake of her 5-year-old son.

Nakamura Shunsuke as Asagi Yusuke
The only son of the chairwoman of Asagi General Hospital, Asagi Ryoko. He is the head of the hospital’s Emergency and Critial Care Centre and person responsible for doctor car. The virtual number two at the hospital, his job is also to give guidance to Tendo Ichika. But he concludes that doctor car is only a “money guzzler” and tries to do away with it. He is also unusually hostile to Ichika. In his heart are warped feelings for his father who was the previous chairman of the hospital.

Fueki Yuko as Azumi Sana
A doctor with Asagi General Hospital’s Emergency and Critial Care Centre. She is the perfect female doctor who possesses exceptional beauty and outstanding medical skills. She makes use of Asagi Yusuke, but on the surface obeys him. In her heart, she holds him in contempt for his inferior skills as a doctor and does not find him attractive as a man too.

Kinoshita Houka as Tadokoro Yukio
The director of Asagi General Hospital. Although his medical skills are one of the best, he is only interested in career advancement and money, and keeps an eye on the moods of Asagi Ryoko and Yusuke. He has the intention of discontinuing the costly doctor car.

Katase Rino as Asagi Ryoko
The chairwoman of Asagi General Hospital. She took over the position from her husband who died of overwork. She respects her husband who had given his all for patients since the time he was a general practitioner and runs the hospital without changing this philosophy. As the chairwoman and a mother, she hopes her son Yusuke will recover and she believes the doctor car holds the key to this.
