Story
Miyanaga Saki is an ordinary first-year student at Kiyosumi High School. One day after school, she has a fateful encounter with a classmate Haramura Nodoka. She follows Nodoka and comes to the secluded room for the mahjong club which is in an old school building. Besides Nodoka, Kataoka Yuki and a bespectacled girl Someya Mako are also there. Saki cannot refuse the club members and ends up playing mahjong with them. Saki is naturally good at getting a winning hand when she draws a replacement tile. But for some reason, she lacks enthusiasm for mahjong and plays it so that she neither wins nor losses each time and keeps her score at zero. She actually has a trauma of mahjong but is influenced by Nodoka’s genius mahjong tactics and decides to join the mahjong club. Nodoka is the titleholder of the national junior high school mahjong tournament and recognises Saki’s true ability. Together with Nodoka and the other club members, Saki eventually contends for the national junior high school mahjong tournament title against formidable opponents.
