Synopsis: It has been five years since Miura Taro (Watanabe Ken) left home and divorced his wife Junko (Aso Yumi) because he was in debt after their takeaway food business went bankrupt due to an aggressive expansion. Junko now lives with their daughters Nanami (Kitagawa Keiko) and Fuyuka (Nikaido Fumi) in the house. The two young ladies are curious about the actions of their mother who wears lipstick when she goes out. It has been a while since she did that. Meanwhile, Taro has failed to pay rent and is struggling to raise money. He decides to visit his eldest daughter’s company to pester her for money. Nanami is the president of an online shopping business which she set up with Yoshioka Koki (Miura Takahiro), a friend from university days. She had to support the family in her father’s stead, but is doing well now. The fact that he is still a drifter exasperates her. In the end, Taro comes back to live in the house after a long time and realises that his ex-wife and daughters have all started to move on with their lives. Recollections of happier times flash through him as he clumsily begins to get interfere in Junko’s possible remarriage and the worries of Nanami and Fuyuka. Nanami’s relationship with her business partner Yoshioka is strained because he has been opposing her and is plotting to merge with a big company. Fuyuka, who is daddy’s girl, tends to be depressed. She has not been able to find employment even though she graduated from university and also does not know what she wants to do with her life. At her part-time convenience store job, she gets treated harshly by the manager Tajima Yu (Chiba Yudai). Although Junko still had feelings for Taro initially, she is no longer concerned about him now and has found a boyfriend, Ogata Masashi (Sugawara Daikichi), a co-worker at the neighbourhood cafe where she works part-time. Taro is a nuisance at times and causes trouble. But his true feelings are soon detected by his family and the people around him.
