Synopsis: One day, a famous painting is stolen from a Tokyo museum and a message from the elusive great thief Lupin Sansei that says, “I’ve taken the treasure” is left behind at the crime scene. A security guard is also found dead. The detectives of the Tokyo Metropolitan Police Department’s First Investigative Division are intent on arresting Lupin. However, the International Investigations Division’s unconventional Inspector Zenigata Koichi (Suzuki Ryohei), who has constantly been given the slip by Lupin, shows up at the investigation headquarters and asserts that Lupin is not the criminal in this case. A stubborn but righteous and compassionate detective who never forgives bad people, Zenigata proceeds to launch a separate investigation with Sakuraba Natsuki (Maeda Atsuko) and Kunikida Shintaro (Miura Takahiro) from the First Investigative Division. The real criminal is identified through Zenigata’s persistent investigation of the crime scene. Natsuki and Kunikida keep finding themselves at the mercy of his investigation method of taking action immediately without thinking once he hits upon something. But they slowly begin to learn important things from him. After that, a figurine and card with Mr Q written on them are delivered to the First Investigative Division. Shortly after that, they receive a phone call from a person who identifies himself as Mr Question. Saying that he wants to pit his knowledge against the police, he gives a quiz. An explosion literally occurs like in an answer to the quiz. Mr Question announces that there are still rigged bombs somewhere in Tokyo. Zenigata, Natsuki and Kunikida scramble to stop the explosion of bombs planted around the metropolis according to Mr Question’s questions.
