Synopsis: A case of false charges occurs at the Kanagawa Prefectural Police. The Tokyo Metropolitan Police Department assembles detective from other prefectures unconnected to the case as the special mission squad. With the credibility of the policy at stake, the team begins to get to the bottom of the matter. However, they are all detectives with flaws and guilty conscience. Kamiya Goro (Nakamura Toru) was a capable detective with the Tokyo Metropolitan Police Department’s First Investigative Division until he was relegated to Izu Oshima Police Precinct as a result of some case. No big case has taken place in the two and a half years that he has been on the island and he spends his days indulging in fishing. Then he is summoned to present himself at the squad all of a sudden. The other members are Nagai Takashi (Takito Kenichi), a director of the Tokyo Metropolitan Police Department; Shimamura Joe (Kadono Takuzo), an inspector of the Osaka Prefectural Police; Yasui Rin (Kuriyama Chiaki) of the Hokkaido Prefectural Police; Minagawa Keiichiro (Hiraoka Yuta) of the Fukuoka Prefectural Police; and Sakurauchi Shogo (Fukami Motoki) of the Saitama Prefectural Police. Their special assignment is to examine the violent serial murders of women which took place within the jurisdiction of Totsuka Police Precinct in Yokohama two years earlier. Yanagihara Shinji (Oshinari Shugo) who was arrested, will soon be found innocent. The motley crew has just one month to determine why he was falsely charged. Kamiya and Rin learns from questioning a victim who was saved during an attempt on her life, that she had spoken to the police about sustaining injuries during her struggle with the criminal. However, this was not put on record. Furthermore, she was compelled by the police and inadvertently said Yanagihara was the criminal. While the squad is being criticised by the director of the Kanagawa Prefectural Police’s director Shigehara Isao (Ichimura Masachika). Kamiya meets his former partner Amano Masaru (Wada Masato) again. Amano has remained in the First Investigative Division even after Kamiya’s demotion. Two years ago, Kamiya hit Sakata Makoto (Nomaguchi Toru), a suspect in the Tokyo Omori case which the two of them were investigating, and he continues to investigate that case even to this day. At this point, a mysterious man who calls himself Yamada (Takahashi Mitsuomi) gets in touch with Kamiya with important information about the case of false charges. Kamiya is surprised by his incredible claim that the investigation was skewed in the Totsuka case and the false charges were deliberate. However, the further their examination progresses, the sloppy investigation of the prefectural police starts to become clear and show a connection to an unexpected case … …
