Synopsis: Ryuzaki Shinya (Sugimoto Tetta), the head of Omori Kita Police Precinct, is busy assembling a team to counter stalkers. As stalking cases have been increasing yearly, Kamijo Takahito (Namase Katsuhisa), Chief Secretary of the National Police Agency’s Commissioner-General, wants to quickly announce efforts to create an organisation to prevent an escalation into injuries and deaths because the police has been slow to react. He issues a memo to all parties but Ryuzaki is fixated on doing the best in personnel selection. He ends up being the only one to miss the deadline and is given a reminder that further delays will not be tolerated. Detective Todaka Yoshinobu (Yasuda Ken), one of the members he has selected, is not approved, making it difficult for him. At the same time, a problem also arises at home. According to Ryuzaki’s wife (Suzuki Sawa), their daughter Miki (Mikura Mana) is being stalked by her boyfriend. This man is the son of Ryuzaki’s ex-boss. Meanwhile, Itami Shuntaro (Furuta Arata), the head of criminal investigations at the Tokyo Metropolitan Police Department, is also in a tight spot. Mistaken for a molester on a train that he happened to board, he was arrested by Ryuzaki’s subordinate Negishi Kumi (Takayama Yuko) and taken to Omori Kita Police Precinct. Then a stalking-related murder case happens within the precinct. The police receive information that the killer has a hunting rifle and escaped with a female hostage. From eyewitness statements, the woman is deduced to be Terakawa Machiko (Sano Hinako) who has been reported missing. It turns out that she had used Omori Kita Police Precinct’s consultation service on stalkers. Kamijo and the top brass try to avoid the heavy criticism from the public while Ryuzaki and Itami prioritise solving the case but clash yet again over the direction of the investigation.
