Synopsis: Yuki (Maki Yoko) is a certified psychologist. One day, she receives a request from a publisher to write about the high profile case of a female university student who stabbed her father to death. It caused controversy because the murder suspect Kanna (Kamishiraishi Moka) told the police “Please find the motive” during her interrogation. Kanna’s court-appointed defence lawyer is Yuki’s brother-in-law (Hiraoka Yuta) who also asks for her help. Yuki meets Kanna face to face and tries to find out what her family is like through counselling. However, when she thinks Kanna is speaking truthfully, the young woman says she is lying. She occasionally shows her emotions and toys with Yuki. While searching for the truth, the warped relationship with the father that she killed as well as her mother Akina (Kuroki Hitomi) become evident. As she interacts with Kanna, Yuki finds herself having to come to terms with her own painful past. Then Kanna finally starts to talk about “first love” and the real reason for her “lie” comes to light. Did Kanna truly kill her father?
