Synopsis: A man who has made easy money through multi-level marketing is murdered. All the eyewitnesses say that the criminal is a certain man when they give their statements to the police. Interrogation specialist Tateoka Ema (Kuriyama Chiaki) from the Tokyo Metropolitan Police Department questions the similarity in the way they spoke about him. She decides to review the case and finds the name of her university mentor Urabe Akihiro (Ishiguro Ken) among the list of people connected to the case. Urabe is not only a leading expert in behavioural psychology, he is a research genius who taught Ema behavioural psychology and drilled the theory and techniques into her. Ema suspects that Urabe manipulated the memories of the eyewitnesses and made them give fabricated statements. She interrogates him with the intention of using behavioural psychology to read his mind. But he knows everything about the discipline to counter her with micro gestures and soothing actions. What ensues is a clash of science and techniques.
