Synopsis: Hirohashi Wataru (Onoe Kikunosuke) belongs to the Tokyo Metropolitan Police Department’s First Investigative Division and leads a team called Team Hirohashi. He is nicknamed the division’s shoebill as his appearance when he picks up signs of a criminal resembles that of a shoebill after its prey. One day, Hirohashi is pursuing a criminal who committed robbery and murder, but is interrupted when he is about to make the arrest. A labour management consultant Kuji Satsuki (Tamashiro Tina) starts to say that his duty ends at 5 pm and the person on night duty will relieve him. As reforms of work practices make headway around the world, Team Hirohashi (Kato Ryo, Abe Shinnosuke, Fujimoto Takahiro) which has particularly bad working conditions within the Tokyo Metropolitan Police, has been designated the model for the implementation of a new way of working. The consultant Satsuki joins to make improvements. While a perplexed Hirohashi is forced to change the way he works, he receives a call about the murder of Koshigaya Shiro (Kashu Toshiki), a popular cooking class instructor. After Hirohashi finishes work at 5 pm, he joins a trial session at the cooking school to probe around. Meanwhile, Saijo Erina (Ringo-chan), who was an instructor in the same cooking school as Koshigaya and had a previous relationship with him, is named as a suspect. In addition, obscene photos of several female participants in the cooking class are discovered in Koshigaya’s apartment by Hirohashi’s subordinates. Koshigaya’s true face is revealed. Meanwhile, it turns out that one of the participants Kasahara Mayuko was not only pregnant with Koshigaya’s child but had also lent a considerable amount of money to him. However, she passed away a year ago.
