Story
Sarukawa Kenta is an employee at Lonron, a mid-sized beverage manufacturer headquartered in Osaka. He is in charge of a large number of big clients due to his work behind the scenes as sales support. In recognition of his ability, Sarukawa is transferred to the Tokyo branch office’s sales promotion unit. However, there are many tough and outspoken clients. On his first day in Tokyo, Sarukawa is sent by his new boss Tanioka Kazuhiko to make a sales pitch to an liquor shop with a junior colleague Shinomiya Ryosuke. However, Shinomiya had failed at this shop previously and they end up angering the shop owner Katsuragi Ichiro. Sarukawa feels discouraged. But that night, Tanioka, Okouchi Yuma and other members of the team hold a welcome party for Sarukawa. Shockingly extra spicy dishes are served. Tanioka tells an overwhelmed Sarukawa, “You will have the ability to conquer everything only when you know genuine spiciness” as he extols the fiery hot cuisine that he loves. Sarukawa becomes aware of this “way of extreme spiciness” and matures as a person and a working professional.

Kiriyama Akito as Sarukawa Kenta
A salaryman who works for Lonron’s headquarters in Osaka. He is transferred to the Tokyo branch office’s sales promotion unit in recognition of his ability, and grows through the “way of extreme spiciness” that his boss Tanioka Kazuhiko extols.
Izumi Rika as Okouchi Yuma
The only female in the sales promotion unit. She pursues beauty and health through extremely spicy food. She constantly seeks stimulus.
Morita Kanro as Yamazaki Yuya
A member of the sales promotion unit. He is a gourmet who loves eating just as his chubby appearance suggests. He is genial and always has a gentle smile.
Maekawa Yasuyuki as Akiyama Masato
A member of the sales promotion unit. He is an older, fashionable man who was probably popular some years ago. He expounds a unique theory that “when a woman unbuttons her first button at a restaurant serving extremely spicy food, it is a positive signal for tonight”.
Hirata Mitsuru as Tanioka Kazuhiko
The head of Lonron’s Tokyo branch office’s sales promotion unit, and the originator of the “way of extreme spiciness”. He may be a henpecked husband and appear unreliable. But he is a dependable fatherly figure to the members of the unit.
