Synopsis: Kaido Azusa (Matsushita Nao) is a lawyer and also has the title of specially-appointed associate professor as she does research on the brain’s memories at a university lab. She is a unique lawyer who is guided by the memories of eyewitnesses and suspects connected to cases. At times, she aggressively makes use of neuroscience to win in court. Azusa believes memories can be changed, and has the habit of saying that in a court case, the winning side is absolute truth. Saida Makoto (Sato Ryuta), who has become a rookie lawyer in his 40s, is made Azusa’s assistant at the law firm run by Kajima Kentaro (Okuda Eiji). He occasionally opposes her and asserts that they should pursue the truth and let the appropriate verdict be made. Fuyukawa Sayaka (Nakayama Miho) asks Azusa to defend her in a murder case. She has been charged with murdering her husband who is a sculptor and two of her late husbands also died mysteriously. Sayaka has the audacity as she says that she killed him and asks Azusa if she can get her acquitted.
