Story
Sahara Natsuki is a rookie detective with Ginza Police Precinct’s Criminal Affairs Department. On his way to work on the first day, he comes across a snatch thief who has targeted an old woman. Natsuki gets into a scuffle with the thief. Then a young lady suddenly appears and neatly throws the man over her shoulder. She is rookie detective Maeda Hitomi who happened to be passing by. Natsuki and Hitomi have both been assigned to Team Kagiyama in the First Investigative Section. Under team leader Kagiyama Kensuke are Inagi Toshifumi, Koga Hisashi, Togashi Kaoru, Takano Koji and Natsuki’s own father Shimao Akimura. Shimao and Natsuki are horrified to learn that they are in the same team. Ever since his parents divorced when he was a child, Natsuki has been at loggerheads with his father, and now he agonises over this reunion with him. To make matters worse, Kagiyama appoints Shimao to be Natsuki’s mentor so the two of them find themselves suddenly forced to become buddies … … While going door to door to question the neighbourhood residents of a suspect in a murder case, Shimao orders Natsuki to wear a jacket of fine quality if he is to be his buddy. The suspect’s dead body is soon found in his own apartment and Natsuki questions his daughter who was the first person to make the discovery. He unexpectedly empathises with her and sheds tears. One day, a bank robbery takes place. Natsuki who happened to be in the bank’s toilet, reports the situation over the phone. Shimao instructs his son to stay where he is and let him know what is happening. However, Natsuki sees that children appear to have been targeted by the criminals … …
