Episode 2: The professional killer’s memory and mystery of the younger sister (Airs 17 April 2014)
The bomb explosion in front of the Izutsuya department store in Ginza left many dead and injured. At the same time, many have been traumatised too. One little girl who witnessed the bomb explosion, is now intently drawing pictures with crayons in a room at a treatment centre. Scattered around her are bizarre pictures that she has drawn.
Worried about the little girl’s condition, a counsellor tells the girl’s mother that her daughter has been drawing what she saw at the scene of the bomb explosion and said she saw a monster.
What did the little girl see? At the police box where Narumiya works, Osugi checks the surveillance camera footage taken at the time of the explosion. However, he never finds the footage that should have been captured of the place that the little girl was looking at. Osugi guesses that someone must have deliberately erased them.
Kuraki gets in touch with Higashi Kazuo of Athena Security based on the information extracted from Miki. Then he invites Miki out for a meal and mentions her father in order to get all the information on the bomb explosion from her. Miki’s father was a Public Security officer, and went missing when she was in high school. This is supposed to be information that even Public Security cannot possibly know.
Kuraki presses questions on Higashi, the man he suspects of being the employer of professional killer Shingai Kazuhiko. Higashi mutters that he hates Public Security because of its unreasonable investigations, and takes his leave. Kuraki resorts to strong-arm tactics in order to corner the crafty Higashi.
Meanwhile, Shingai who still has not regained his memory, shows up at the apartment Shingai Kazuhiko lives which he had heard from Satomura. This information immediately reaches Miki’s ears. Nakagami also learns about this at the same time … …
