Synopsis: It has been six months since a wealthy businesswoman named Tominokoji Kimiko (Tanaka Minami) mysteriously died after plunging to her death from her own company’s building, but there is no end to the bad rumours swirling around her. This spurs novelist Kajitani Aya (Kiryu Mai) to write a book about the scandal-ridden Kimiko. She meets three men (Izumisawa Yuki, Omi Toshinori, Hayashiya Shozo) who had relationships with Kimiko, gathering their stories as she starts pursuing who this “wicked women” really is. But the many unexpected statements from acquaintances stun Aya. A high school dropout, Kimiko worked at a ramen joint and a jewellery store from the age of 16 as she learned about stocks and developed an interest in land. She treated all people with sincerity and love in her own way and everyone believed in her. When the men got cold feet after she became pregnant, she calmly stated that she would give birth and raise the child on her own and she did. Five years later, Kimiko showed up at the house of Watase Yoshio’s (Izumisawa Yuki) parents with a son and a family register in hand. She obtained land using the compensation she received and eventually built Tominokoji Building several years later. Aya has complicated feelings about these florid changes but she gets to peel back the layers and see what truly lies beneath Kimiko’s ostentatious life.
