Synopsis
Hasumi Kikuo and Minako are a happily married couple. After quitting her job, Minako takes her beloved car named Grace to Narita and leaves for Europe, calling it a monumental solo trip. However, she suddenly dies in a bus accident in Southern France and a depressed Kikuo is left with Grace. Kikuo is astonished to learn from the car navigation history that Minako had travelled all over Japan without his knowledge. Then he finds in her notebook a photograph taken of the back view of a young man whom he does not recognise and suspects that she was unfaithful and sets out on a journey to trace her routes and unravel the mystery. As Kikuo goes to Fujisawa, Matsumoto, Omi Hachiman, Onomichi, Matsuyama and encounters significant people, he digs up the past that he had sealed off everywhere he goes and also starts to perceive Minako’s feelings.
