Synopsis
Kamizuru Ryoko was a remarkable lawyer and handled many cases until she was disbarred after a case that resulted in injury. She was also fired by Genma Keisuke, the CEO of Genma Group, where she worked as a corporate lawyer. Ryoko subsequently set up her own private investigation agency and switched careers. She accepts all requests except murder and assault. But her fee alone is an extraordinary 2 million yen. For that amount, she will solve cases with sheer boldness, disregarding the law and social norms to use her skills at disguise. Ryoko is supported by her brainy partner Takayama Nobuhiko who has an IQ of 140 and is well versed in many fields. He seems to be perfect but has trouble speaking to women. Together, the two of them fight against absurd villains who harass clients. At the same time, Ryoko and Nobuhiko have to grapple with their pasts. He has a feud with his family while she cannot recall the case that led to her losing her lawyer’s licence and continues to pursue the truth … … One day, a woman comes to their investigation agency with the intention of getting 20 million yen back from a real estate broker Kanzaki Kyoichiro who stole drove her husband to suicide after stealing their land and factory two years ago. As there is no problem with the contract, she did not get the police involved, but she is willing to pay Ryoko’s fee of 2 million yen to avenge her late husband.
