Kobayashi-ke Wonderland
Story: The Kobayashis used to be on good terms and cherished their family time. Now they have become awkward around each other, barely having family conversations or interfering in each’s others matters. One day, the son Tatsuya (Nakagawa Taishi) receives a message from his father (Taguchi Hiromasa), telling him to be at home in the afternoon because he has something important to say to him. The next day, when Tatsuya enters the living room, his father, mother (Mitsuishi Kotono) and younger sister (Matsuzaki Miyu) are not conversing as usual. He sadly wonders how long the family has been this way. A special feature ranking the hottest theme parks on TV makes him remember their family visits to amusement parks in the past. As the top theme park is announced, the characters “Kobayashi Wonderland” along with footage of the exterior of their house appears on TV. Unable to comprehend what he is seeing, Tatsuya freezes in disbelief. He is told by his father that they will open Kobayashi Wonderland, a brand new neighbourhood-style theme park, that will overturn the traditional concept of theme parks.
