Story
High school student Saburo arrives at an Edo theme park for a school excursion. He confesses his feelings to a female classmate while actors dressed up as samurai and townsfolk come and go. When he senses that he will not get a positive reply, he pretends that he has received a call on his mobile phone and makes his escape. Putting on a brave front, Saburo claims to his fellow male classmates that he was not turned down. However, the guys give various examples in the past and accuse him of having the habit of running away. At that moment, Saburo falls down. The signboard at his feet has the words “Sengoku Warlord Experience” written on it. When he looks around, his friends are gone. Thinking that he has strayed into an attraction on his own, Saburo climbs a high wall in an attempt to get out, but loses his footing and ends up falling. When he wakes up, he finds himself in a a place of natural scenery with no buildings. His mobile phone also has no reception. Two samurai on horseback come. Saburo is taken aback because one of the samurai bears a striking resemblance to him. His look-alike introduces himself as Oda Nobunaga and asks him, “Will you live as Oda Nobunaga on my behalf?” Believing that this is one of the theme park attractions, Saburo accepts the sword that is Nobunaga’s token and gives his consent. When Nobunaga and the other samurai leave, Ikeda Tsuneoki and two samurai appear. They unquestioningly take him for Nobunaga and escort him to Nagoya Castle. This is where he is informed that the Imagawa troops have launched an attack. Saburo has to head for the battlefield immediately. He is still under the impression that he is in an attraction, but as lives get snuffed out on the battlefield, it finally sinks into him that this is the real “Sengoku”.
