Story
Fukazawa Misaki and Hazuki are sisters who are polar opposites in both lifestyle and personality. Although they would hurt each other’s feelings, they would also make up for each other’s deficiencies. Misaki, the younger of the sisters, vanished when she graduated from high school and did not keep in touch, but suddenly shows up in front of her older sister, Hazuki, one day. Hazuki works for the ward office’s residents services section. That day, she has lunch with her boyfriend Yoshimura Tatsuya at her favourite organic cafe, which is run by Hagiwara Yohei and his sister Uesugi Kaori. Hazuki, who is celebrating her 30th birthday the next day, broaches the topic of marriage subtly, but Tatsuya does not show any interest. Furthermore, it seems that he is working the whole day tomorrow. Then, Hazuki’s mother, Nanae, calls. But Hazuki reasons with her mother whom she does not get along with, but gets cut off. When Hazuki comes back home that night, her younger sister whom she has not heard from in years is there. Hazuki who has had the important events in her life ruined countless times because of Misaki, vents her anger at Misaki and tries to throw her out. However, Misaki fetches Hazuki’s favourite sochu bottle and gets on her good side. After Hazuki passes out from drinking, she goes through her sister’s belongings and home thoroughly. The following morning, Hazuki goes for a daily jog with her good friend, Sato Kazuko. Learning that Misaki is back, Kazoku warns Hazuki to harden her heart and send Misaki packing. Misaki wakes up in the afternoon and realises she has an incoming call from her former high school form teacher, Sakuraba Soichiro. However, the caller is not Soichiro, but his younger brother, Eito, who has been Misaki’s good friend since high school days. Misaki hears an investigation report which Eito had requested and puts a plan into action. Meanwhile, Hazuki, who had trouble arranging to meet Tatsuya on her birthday, goes drinking with Kazuko. But what awaits her when she enters the joint is … …
