Story
It is Yamaori Mikio’s daily routine to look out the train window at the sea on his way to work. But on this day, he happens to stand on the opposite side because the straps have all been taken. The scenery is different from usual. All he sees are houses. And then he spots a brightly coloured green beach dress being dried at an apartment and cannot hide his surprise. It looks just like the dress that his ex-wife Makoto had treasured. Makoto did not get along well with his mother Sumiko and their marriage ended in divorce four years ago. Mikio thinks that if he had not run away at that time and had helped her … … From that point on, it become his daily routine to stand on the side facing the mountains, and not the sea to look for his ex-wife from the train window. But he does not see her. Sometime later, he finally catches sight of her and makes a decision.
