Story
A cool new surgeon arrives at Seirin University Hospital. The name of this young woman whose eyes convey a steely determination is Mizuno Asumi. She meets Hoshino Miu, a nurse brimming with a sense of justice; Bandai Yuma, a kind-hearted houseman; Professor Arima Takeshi who puts patient-oriented medical treatment ahead of everything else … … While there are staff like them who are there for the patients, there is a darkness to this university hospital. It is a makeup of the doctors and staff that only see patients as tools for career advancement and research. Date Risa unapologetically says patients are mice, Chihara Junichi puts research above patients … … The person above them is Professor Bandai Shuichi who reigns like the king and calls all the shots. Asumi observes them keenly. She harbours a secret. 15 years ago, her father Osanai Takao died during surgery. The hospital claimed that there was no medical malpractice. But one day, her father’s surgery records was sent to Asumi by someone. There are two pages to it and it is obvious that one of the pages was doctored. And that hospital is none other than Seirin University Hospital. Did her father die because of medical malpractice? With Asumi’s suspicions about her father’s death, she decides to become a doctor in order to smoke out every person involved and uncover the truth of his death. She finally gets into Seirin University Hospital and watches for an opportunity to take revenge. She sets her sights on Ebisu Masato, the dishonest chief nursing officer, as the first target. He is the person who wrote the falsified surgery records 15 years ago and continues to be duplicitous to patients even now. Patterning her revenge after the Alice in Wonderland book that her father gave to her, Asumi coldly and deliberately corners Ebisu. This is the start of her grand plan for revenge. At this juncture, Nishikado Yusuke, a news reporter, approaches her. She feels shaken that he has been shadowing her. Is he a foe? Or an ally? Who is the person who sent the surgery records? And what of the truth of her father’s death?
