Synopsis: Detective Yagami Eiko (Yonekura Ryoko) of Ueno Chuo Police Precinct’s Organised Crime Control Division is busy moonlighting as a moneylender today too. She lends money free of interest to colleagues beyond the precinct. In exchange, she gets information that they have and usually solves cases faster than anyone else with this information. One day, Kasumi (Takada Riho), the daughter of Senba Shogo (Nishida Toshiyuki), the boss of Senba-gumi, is murdered within the Ueno Chuo Police Precinct’s jurisdiction. This results in Eiko and her subordinate Izawa Satoru (Aoyagi Sho) staking out the Senba-gumi. When night falls, she goes off and stealthily puts in an appearance alone at Kasumi’s wake which is being held at the home of the Senba-gumi boss. Eiko is searching for the key to solve the case. Right after that, she is introduced to Totsuka Joji (Jinnai Takanori), a senior member of the Senba-gumi by Kai Michiaki (Saito Takumi) whom she is on familiar terms with. Totsuka proposes a deal. He wants Eiko to tell them before Kasumi’s murderer is arrested because he hopes to punish him with his own hands. Her reward will be 30 million yen. Eiko immediately accepts. Tominaga Masahiro (Watabe Atsuro), the chief of Ueno Chuo Police Precinct, considers Eiko to be a dangerous person and has given her a strong warning. He makes Tanabe Hiroshi (Miyakawa Ichirota), a former Public Security officer who is with the First Investigative Division, tail her. Eiko creates a smokescreen and gets in touch with the Chinese mafia boss Liu Ying Li (Iwashita Shima). It is a part-time job unrelated to her principal occupation. Eiko settles Ying Li’s request together with Ochiai Satomi (Yamazaki Shizuyo) whom she has hired as her personal bodyguard. Before long, a murder similar to Kasumi’s takes place. The victim is a Chinese prostitute. Because her appearance resembles Kasumi, and a letter claiming responsibility was sent to a television network, the police is certain that it is the same murderer. The head of the criminal investigations Noshiro Kyoko (Toda Keiko) sets up an investigation task force which she chairs with Tominaga as her deputy. Knowing that Eiko has a connection with Totsuka from Tanabe’s information, Tominaga puts her in the investigation task force and pairs her with a First Investigation Division unit leader called Kawagami Shuhei (Terajima Susumu) in order to keep tabs on her. Although Eiko goes along with Kawagami, she proceeds with her own investigation with information from Kai and Ying Li. She also continues to be in touch with Totsuka and slowly gets close to the criminal … … Will she be able to arrest the murderer before the investigation task force and sell out to Totsuka?
